Hiking in the Magaliesberg
The Magaliesberg Mountain, with it’s incredible views, is a hiker’s paradise. Join us for a 3, 5 or 13 km hike, with our FGASA registered guide, who will share many of the often overlooked secrets of the mountain with you.
There are several hiking routes and paths in the Magaliesberg Mountain which we make use of. These routes cover diverse terrain and various gradients, so we can suggest easy, moderate or more strenuous day-hiking options according to your preference and fitness level.

What you need to bring: |
- Appropriate footwear, like hiking boots/shoes, or a good pair of sport shoes
- Comfortable clothing. layers work well.
- A hat – preferably with a wide brim and a neck strap (for windy conditions) or, a peak/baseball cap
- Sun block
- Warm clothing and rain gear – the weather in the mountains can change unexpectedly and sudden drops in temperature are common
- Your own water bottle, with at least 500ml of water per hour of your adventure
- Binoculars & a camera if you have and want to carry it with you.
- A day pack in which to carry all your personal items, water etc.
